I do work a lot on wild life mangement Ii used some dart rifles for capture in the past, and I was allways not really convinced.
Now that i do use a DAN-INJECT i am amazed about the acuracy of the rifle.
I have used it for PUMAS, GUANACOS, ANDEAN CONDOR, SOUTHER PUDU THE SMALLEST DEER OF THE WORLD-EVEN FAWNS, RED DEER, HUEMULS, WILD BOAR, FOXES ETC.
In reality the accuracy let me shoot confortable I am trained on real accurate fire arms. The ballistic table was professionally built...it works, the one who did it knew about it.

Despite the extreme temperatures (sometimes down to -25 degrees F) everything worked perfectly. The only curve ball was that the sedatives would freeze in the dart if left unheated. A few well placed handwarmers solved that issue.
Thank you many times over for getting it to us. It really made a difference.
In the picture I'm on the left with the sunglasses and Dr. Dan Costa, the principal investigator, is on the right.
Thanks again!
Dan Costa is a professor at The University of California-Santa Cruz, Long Marine Lab. We were going along the ice flows of the Antarctic Peninsula capturing Crabeater Seal so we could radiotag them.
Information we collected included their movements and dive patterns as well as various oceanographic and environmental data.

I like the fact that it is snowing, shows that the darts work well in freezing temps as well.

I had some trouble with getting my GPS collars out of customs for about 3 weeks. But we did get to work and captured a beautiful adult female jaguar on 31 Oct 2008. Being Halloween, we decided to name her after "Elvira - Mistress of the Dark", the long-time hostess of late night horror movies. Elvira (the jaguar) is an adult female, 3-4 yr, in perfect health.
The Dan-inject dart gun system worked beautifully. The gun shot straight and the dart hit soft and delivered the immobilizing drug completely. The jaguar didn't even flinch when I shot her with the dart. The study area where we are working is the Mamiraua' Reserve in Amazonas, Brazil, and this is the first jaguar ever captured and outfitted with a GPS collar in the Amazon varzea (seasonally flooded rainforest).
Hope this proves useful to you and I'm a willing spokesperson for your product any time you need.
In the Elvira photo, you can just see the tail of the dart behind the leaf on the right hind quarter.

The Dan-Inject rifle is used to immobilize small animals, particularly lemurs in the forest canopy, and is critical because it allows the force to be changed based upon the vertical position of the animal.
